Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba has reportedly been linked with a summer move away from the club as he continues to find it hard to cement his starting role at Villa Park. The midfielder’s future at the club became very unclear following the sacking of Dean Smith and it was since then that speculations started to surround his stay at the club. Steven Gerrard was appointed as the new manager at Villa Park, and it was always expected that he would bring in his own players, casting doubts over the future of some of the existing players at the club, including that of Nakamba.
Prior to him joining Villa, he has played in three games, scoring three time, and registering two assists in what had been a remarkable form for him so far. He is now expected to cement himself into the starting eleven under Gerrard as he would be a much better addition to the XI. Gerrard has continued to speak highly of the Brazil international star and has also kept heaping praises on him, insisting that the player has what it takes to become a top star and a fans’ favorite at Villa Park.
Some unnamed players have reportedly registered interest in the possible signing of Nakamba and there are rumors that he could be leaving the club this summer especially if he is not promised a more regular role at the club.
